Uploading your images or videos to the FITI FTP site

Uploading and downloading large poster files can be frustrating.  However, it can be a lot less frustrating when using the correct software.  There are a number of free FTP programs, however FITI suggests using Filezilla.

Below is a link to a Free FTP (FileTransfer Protocol) -program, which you can use for uploading and downloading files.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/filezilla/

Once you download the file and install it, it is fairly easy to operate because it is just like your Windows Explorer interface. You need to do the following from the top Menu:

File "Site Manager"
When the dialog box opens select "New Site"
Name the New site say, "FITI"
Under the Host
box type "ftp.fiti.com.au"
Protocol
is FTP
Encryption
- Use plain FTP
Logon type
should be selected as "Normal"
User name
in your case is the User ID we have given you
Password
is the password we have given you
Select the top tab "Transfer Settings"
Select the Passive
transfer Mode

Then select "Save and Exit
".

To connect to the FITI site:
Select File "Site Manager
"
Put the mouse over the name you just created "FITI" and click the "Connect
" button.

Once connected you will see on the left part of the screen your own computer files and on the right the contents of your Client folder on the FITI FTP site.

It is just a matter of "Drag and Drop".  You drag from your computer the files you want to go on the FITI server and the bottom part of the screen will show the transfer details.

Once the files have been transferred, all activity will stop and you can click the Tabs at the bottom of the screen to see your successful transfers.

Some points to note:

- If there is no activity for 300 seconds, our server will disconnect.
- If you have a failed transfer, just try again
- If the program is open and the the line disconnects, you should be able to resume the transfer from the point where it was disconnected.
